Long-Time Board Member Dies After Battle With Cancer

Garrett C. Reuter

In Memory of

Garrett C. Reuter

December 29, 1947 – December 13, 2013

We are saddened to share the news of the death of Garrett "Garry" C. Reuter, after a long battle with cancer. Garry has served on our Board of Directors since January of 1989.

Garry lived in Belleville, Ill., with his wife, Mary. He was an attorney for Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., and served as an officer of the firm. He was also a CPA. He was devoted to his family, and to say he was an avid golfer would be a big understatement.  Besides the NFED, Garry was involved in many other organizations in the community. While on the Board, Garry has served as secretary and treasurer.

“We are grateful to Garry for his more than two decades of service to the ectodermal dysplasias community,” said Anil Vora, president of the Board of Directors. “His legal expertise and guidance over the years was invaluable to the organization. Our thoughts are with his wife, Mary, and his family.”
