The L. Marie Heard Education Scholarship Program annually awards scholarships to individuals affected by ectodermal dysplasias for post-secondary education. This includes colleges, university, trade school or junior college.

Scholarships can only be used for tuition, fees and/or books.

Only individuals affected by ectodermal dysplasias are eligible.
How to Apply
Download the application or to receive an application , contact the NFED office. Scholarship winners are announced in May. Funding is made directly to the institution.
Deadline
Complete applications must be postmarked by March 7, 2012.
Scholarship Selection Criteria
A committee of volunteers evaluates each scholarship application based on the following criteria:

Demonstrated Academic Ability

A Written Essay (Topics change each year.)

Extracurricular Activities

Community Involvement

Employment

NFED Volunteer Activities

Financial Need
-
Letters of Recommendation
The NFED has awarded more than $249,150 to numerous individuals for their educational pursuits since 1995.
