You don’t want to miss this tremendously inspirational speaker,
on Thursday 21 July, 2011 @ 1PM: John Foppe
Lea: I had the privilege to attend one of John’s motivational speaking engagements. I left tremendously inspired that anyone has the power to choose who one will be and that the choice to be comes with an awesome responsibility to look deep inside oneselves, to voice the unexpressed, to listen to the ignored, and to see the possibilities. Most of all, it is o.k. to be different.
Born without arms, John Foppe has had to break down and re-think every aspect of day-to-day life. He learned that the inability to do something didn’t rest on the lack of resources or vision. Instead, it has more to do with one’s subconscious perception to meeting a challenge head on. John teaches how to translate visions into outcomes.
As a child, John had difficulty doing the simple things most of us take for granted, and he led a life marked by dependency. At 10 years old, John couldn’t put his own pants on. Today, he travels the world as an author and owner of a successful international training company. John will reveal how to silence your internal self-critic, do more with less, and stay motivated.
This sounds wonderful will this be open to the older kids as well or adults only?
Yes, this will be open to the older kids as well as the adults. It is super worthwhile for the older children to see how John Foppe overcame his physical disabilities. He is such an inspiration. He did not let his disability deter from leading a very productive life. He is married with a child and has a very successful career. Please, I encourage the older kids to attend.
