We are thrilled to announce that Greg Klimovitz has joined the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasias (NFED) as our new Director of Development and Communications (DDC), effective August 30.

With 20 years of experience in community development and executive leadership within nonprofit, interfaith and religious organizations, social enterprises, and youth programs, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to our team.

A passionate convener and communicator of stories, Greg has a proven track record in leveraging human-centered narratives to invite collaboration and generate new funding sources for the common good. Greg is a trained leadership coach, certified digital marketer, grant writer, online community consultant, and mission-driven networker. We are excited about the innovative ideas and energy he will bring to the role.

How Greg Will Help

In his new position, Greg will be a member of the senior leadership team, serve as a thought partner to the executive director, and help guide the vision and strategic priorities of the NFED. As the DDC, Greg will drive short and long-term revenue growth, serve as the primary relationship manager for stewardship and cultivation of individual, corporate, and foundation giving, and manage the administrative activities that support all development efforts. Greg will also guide the strategy and implementation of all communications, marketing, public relations, and brand management to consistently articulate the NFED’s mission and vision.

His Background

Greg has an extensive professional background, most recently serving as the Head of Leadership Development and Marketing for an online consulting, professional services, and website company.

Greg was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and now resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is married with four children and loves baseball, poetry, gardening, running, and binge-watching the latest show on streaming platforms. We are excited for Greg to bring his energies and skills to the NFED as we continue to empower and support those most impacted by ectodermal dysplasias.

Here is what our Executive Director, Mary Fete, had to say about Greg joining the NFED:

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Greg as he joins the NFED team. Greg’s extensive experience and profound passion in development and communication make him a valuable addition to our team. His infectious enthusiasm and dedication to our mission are truly admirable.

Why Greg Chose to Join the NFED Team

Greg also had this to share about why he chose to work with us.

“When I first learned of the NFED, I was immediately moved by how much is being done to provide support, resources, and research for such a valuable community of people across the country and around the world,” Greg said. “I took a deep dive into the videos, articles, and stories of individuals who most benefit from the work of the NFED and felt a deep connection to the mission and vision of people most impacted by ectodermal dysplasias.”

“I knew right away I wanted to be a part of developing effective strategies not only to tell these stories, but also to bring my experience and relational approach to fundraising as we build vital partnerships and collaborations to sustain the mission and vision of the NFED. I believe foundations like the NFED are crucial to moving towards the flourishing of all people and communities. I am thrilled to be a part of what is happening at the NFED now and in the days ahead.”
